2015 Projects
St.Mary's Restoration Fund
This year we are supporting St. Mary’s Church as one of the pillars is falling down so is being held up by scaffolding and every month this costs more. It is no easy job fixing a pillar so is going to be very expensive this is why we are helping them out by just giving a little bit of money to them as they have supported us over these past three years. Though the amount won’t be much we hope that by telling you all this you might find a way to help out too.
Founders Shield
This year we thought instead of a trophy we're going to add a shield, we are being a little bit selfish in the name but we though it spelled out what it is for the best. As this isn't given out by the judges this is decided by us as to which scarecrow best represents the competition and its values. This award started last year with a certificate going ...drum roll please..... to the astronaut and we're bring it back to stay this year and putting some meat on its bones.
Find the Scarecrow
Each day of the competition a photo of identical scarecrows is going to be put on Facebook and twitter #findthescarecrow and all you have to do is say where about in the village the scarecrow is. If you want you could even go and take a selfie with it and share it with us. All the answers will be reviled at the awards day at Seaton Holme.
